Coles Whalen

In 2005 singer-songwriter Coles Whalen released her first album, Coles Whalen EP, and set off in a camper to ‘tour the US.’ During her unbeknownst experience living the tiny life, she learned a lot along the way. A little luck, lots of help, and sheer refusal to stop got her to 6 original albums and lots of fun with what she considers to be some of the coolest people in the biz. While she is no longer in the camper, she still tours and continues to grow as an artist.

During Whalen’s ten year career as a singer-songwriter, she has been met with quite a bit of success including winning Akon’s HITLAB, opening for a number of national acts in different genres, hearing her song in a Disney film, and composing the credit track for a PBS television series.

Her latest album, Come Back, Come Back, is available now and a new acoustic release can be expected in 2018.

“Coles Whalen makes things happen. When she wanted to jumpstart her music career she bought a pickup truck, toured the country and sold CDs out of the back. Then, when opportunity knocked and kept knocking, she picked up her guitar to open for artists like Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Rufus Wainwright, and yes, even Akon in Montreal, Nashville, Denver, and all points in between. But it isn’t just sheer will that’s gotten Whalen to where she is today. Her homespun blend of bluesy, swampy folk has something to do with it.” – OurStage
